Apple's iOS and Android have been battling for the hearts and minds of mobile users. But which one is on best of the other seems to differ from report to report.

The results can vary depending on which devices are tracked. Looking austerely at smartphones, Android classically pops up in the lead. But by including tablets in the mix, iOS sometimes turns up as the top dog.
